Hello, and I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend. Congrats to NCS's Odyssey of the Mind group, they did an amazing job in Jacksonville on Saturday! We have several 4th graders on teams, so great job guys!
This week we continue to work on centers, write, research and read poetry and short stories from black artists. We will begin practicing for our Black History Month Wax Museum this week. Students will all have their person assigned by tomorrow. The Museum will be next Wednesday, March 13 during your child's class time:
4A: 8:30-9:30
4C: 10:30-11:40
4B: 2:00-3:00
Students should wear costumes and create props to portray their person. Each student will have a 1-2 minute speech memorized and we will enjoy seeing everyone perform.
Talent Show rehearsals will take place after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next 2 weeks. With the exception of March 14, when we will have a dress rehearsal and run-through, students will be finished by 3:45 or 4:00. Performers must attend these meetings. Tickets are for sale, $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students. Dinner will be available the night of the show. March 15 at 5:30. We will have some special treats in store the night of the show, you don't want to miss it!
