Week of April 23

Hey everyone, Hope all is well! The Talent Show was another rousing success. If you missed it, you missed something special! With the testing schedule in constant flux, it has become really difficult to create and maintain due dates, and for that, I apologize. The tentative due date for the final book report, which will be written in class, in May 18. I may have to shift it around but I am aiming for that week or the next. Please complete projects at home and have them ready to go that week. I will be more flexible with this than I have been in the past due to testing. Homework is to read for 30 minutes and write a summary for all students. I HIGHLY recommend taking some extra time and reviewing the Competitive Edge book. We will work on it in class, so students should have the book with them everyday. We are beginning a mini-unit on Native American Indians in class. Students are assigned an area in North America and they are to select a tribe based in that area. There are several activities associated with this project and a rubric, please ask to see it. If anyone took pictures the night of the Talent Show, I would love to see them!
