Hello! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Last Friday, I sent home every student's homework grade for parents to sign and return. As I greet my little darlings this morning, it seems as if most failed to show this grade to their parents. Please make sure to ask about, and sign, your child's agenda or note. It is important, now more than ever, to complete homework reading. There will be fewer grades this quarter due to testing and review, homework will count more than it usually does. We will continue reviewing and working on our Native American project this week. All students should carry a book with them at all times for quiet reading. I will no longer accept Competitive Edge for homework. All pages have been assigned, we are using the books for review in class. Students who are struggling should continue to reread and work in these books. Homework is due daily and it's to read and write a summary of what the student read. We will begin writing the final book report essay next Monday, the 7th of May. All books should be read by Friday the 4th of May.
Progress reports go home next week (May 9). Many students are struggling right now. I have put a new page on my blog titled "Discussion Page". Students may answer questions and respond (thoughtfully) to their classmates discussion for extra credit.
